Cooper Solutions is delighted to announce a new working relationship with Safeline, the charity which helps people survive the aftermath of sexual abuse and rape, whilst working with young people to prevent it.
Founded in 1994 by the victims of sexual abuse to help others, the charity started as a helpline in a spare bedroom, and 20 years later has helped more than 25,000 people.
Today the Warwickshire-based charity provides a range of services including counselling, support groups, creative therapies, and early intervention and prevention projects. Services are offered to men, women and children who are survivors of abuse.
Barry Cooper, Managing Director of Cooper Solutions said: 'We wanted to work with Safeline because we believe in its cause. The charity makes a significant difference to the lives of people who have survived abuse, and also works to prevent sexual abuse from happening. We will be supporting the charity through raising funds and helping to raise its profile with the general public.'
Neil Henderson, CEO of Safeline said: 'More than 13 million people in the UK have been affected by sexual abuse and rape. In the last year, Safeline has provided a wide variety of support to more than 3,000 people which is our highest number ever. Existing services are grossly underfunded as the scale of this issue is substantially undersetimtaed and victims are often denied access to life-changing support when they need it most.'
'At Safeline, our mission is to try and prevent sexual abuse and rape from happening and support more victims and survivors affected by it. Prevention and support are equally important. Client numbers are growing and the support of Cooper Solutions will enable us to build our services further.'
