L&L Automotive’s Mercedes-Benz dealers in Hertfordshire have switched to using Cooper Solutions’ online trade vehicle auction site following a successful trial.

FullAuction has been rolled out across all three sites in Bishop’s Stortford, Stevenage and Hertford, and has enabled the dealerships to make an average profit of £400 on each vehicle.

The dealers had been selling used vehicles through trade sources prior to launching a trial with Cooper Solutions in October 2013.

David Presley, Brand Director at L&L Automotive, which employs around 150 staff in Hertfordshire, said: “Mark Jeff-Johnston from Cooper Solutions presented to us on the benefits of FullAuction and we saw it as a very good system, and it has certainly proved to be the case. Using this system has enabled us to have far more control of our vehicles rather than the trade dictating the used car business we do, as the vehicles do not leave our control or site until they are sold. In the first two months of this year we increased used car auction sales to 50 units a month, and are now making a profit of around £400 on each vehicle, which is a marked improvement.”

Prior to adopting FullAuction, L&L Automotive were already using Cooper Solutions’ fleet management system, FullCover, along with FullControl which gives dealers control of used car stock from preparation through to sale and delivery.

David added: “We are very happy with Cooper Solutions and the team are always there to support and review our progress.
